Hacettepe University Disaster Research and Application Center (HAMER) was founded on Agust 11th, 2008.

HAMER conducts research, application and public health studies in disasters and disaster medicine. It organizes training activities and provides consultancy services in these topics.

The center conducts its activities in Turkey and other countries.

In order to achieve its goals, HAMER cooperates with all related institutions and organizations.

HAMER was invited and accepted as a member of Emergency Management and Disaster Medicine (EMDM) Academy on September 11th, 2011.

On May 15th, 2012, HAMER is renamed as Hacettepe University Disaster Medicine Application and Research Center.
